Tombstone Fact

Did you know?

Grave markers or tombstones are considered personal property. Most home insurance policies cover up to $5,000 worth of damage, assuming it isn’t the result of staff negligence at the cemetery where the tombstone is located.

Salem Cemetery Fund needs your help. A number of tombstones are in need of straightening/repair. We'd like to spend $2000 annually to do this maintenance, but we can't do this without donations. We have a company from Crookston that can do the repairs. If you have family members buried at Salem or would just like to help out, please consider donating to the Salem Cemetery Fund to continue this important work.

The Salem Lutheran Church remains committed to the respectful preservation, enhancement, and beautification of the sacred resting grounds for our cherished family members and loved ones.

Our ability to fulfill this mission relies greatly on the generous contributions of dedicated individuals within our community and beyond. Your support is essential in ensuring the continual upkeep, beautification efforts, and the meeting of operational needs for the cemetery.

We kindly invite you to consider how you can contribute to financing the ongoing maintenance, beautification projects, and the rising operational costs of these sacred grounds.  Consider downloading the form below and sending it with your contribution.
